CREATIVE TALENT In the busy street of Mohamed El Qori, his collection of metal sculptures catches the eye of many passers by, his characters, objects and animals are artfully arranged outside his shop, giving the metal a new lease of life. Meet Rachid Mourabit, the one they call ‘The Caesar of Essaouira.’
Rachid, a 23 year old, born and raised in Essaouira, has a diploma in mechanics and has worked in repairs for many years. His unique talent can turn scraps of metal into works of art, assembling soda cans and spare parts together to create a variety of objects.
