Born September 13, 1979 in Dakar, Ibrahima Loucard, alias Carlou D entered the music naturally, almost by obligation. "The passion and the obligation to the family situation led me to the music", said the artist in a neutral voice. As a child, Carlou D watering of blues, salsa music, variety... His passion for music blossomed listening to Baobab Orchestra, Michael Jackson and Ray Charles. Carlos D made his first steps on stage alongside Ska Blues. Then in 2003, he joined the Positive Black Soul, with Didier Awadi and Duggy Tee. Together, they embody the generation "Boul Falé" ("You take care!" in wolof), which makes the followers among young people. In 2004, Carlou D began his solo career. It is now seven years Carlou D vibrates the Senegalese scene on his music which feature remains the fusion of acoustic sounds in a style hip hop. Carlou D currently is an icon of the scene hip hop in Senegal. He has recently an album mixing modern music and religious song, entitled "Musikr". It was sacred best artist of the year and best entertainer at the Sunu Music Awards in 2010.
